Is power raking the same as aeration?
No. Power raking removes the layer of dead grass and moss (thatch) sitting on top of the soil, while aeration pulls plugs out of the soil to relieve compaction.
Will power raking make my lawn look bad initially?
It can leave the lawn looking a bit thin immediately after the procedure, as we are pulling out a large volume of dead material. However, it bounces back quickly, much thicker and healthier than before.
